{"id":888,"date":"2025-04-14T11:00:50","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T11:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/missions.grz.gov.zm\/brasilia\/?p=888"},"modified":"2025-04-14T11:00:50","modified_gmt":"2025-04-14T11:00:50","slug":"fashion-campus-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/missions.grz.gov.zm\/brasilia\/?p=888","title":{"rendered":"FASHION CAMPUS VISIT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aguas Claras, Brasilia. <\/strong>As part of preparations to host Zambian fashion designers and other industry creative, the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Brazil has visited the Fashion Campus in the city of Aguas Claras of Brasilia.<\/p>\n<p>Counsellor Coillard Muvwema at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Brasilia led officials from the embassy to appreciate and get to know the creative space before the visit of Zambian fashion designers and other industry creative.<\/p>\n<p>During the tour of the Fashion Campus, Mr. Muvwema spoke of the importance of the Embassy to familiarise itself with the skills training centre before inviting the Zambia Fashion Designers.<\/p>\n<p>The Counsellor explained that the Embassy\u2019s partnership with Brasilia Trends Fashion Week and Fashion Campus is important in the actualization of the 2010 signed agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the government of the Federative Republic of Brazil and The Government of the Republic of Zambia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis partnership is very important to Zambia as it has capacity to grow the fashion industry back home and create employment especially for our youths,\u201d said Mr Muvwema.<\/p>\n<p>The Mr Muvwema further noted that the training and subsequent participation in the Brasilia Trends Fashion Week expose the Zambian fashion designers to new market in Brazil and the entire South America.<\/p>\n<p>Fashion Campus Principal Chief Executive Officer and Founder Mabel de Bones hailed the Zambian Embassy in Brasilia for its commitment towards the achievement and implementation of the 2010 signed agreement on Cultural Cooperation, knowledge exchange between the government of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Government of the Republic of Zambia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe chose to make Fashion much more than a fashion school; we are business developers and a creative hub. Ms Bones said.
