It also provides information on services available for Zambian nationals living in Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam, as well as information about those wishing to visit Zambia for leisure, business and social purposes.
The High Commission was established in April 2009 and covers seven other countries on a non-resident basis. These countries include; Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

A visa is a tool which provides for preliminary examination of foreign nationals in terms of their suitability to enter the country. It is an endorsement in a valid passport of a foreigner, granting such person authority to enter Zambia within a specific period upon examination by an Immigration Officer at a port of entry.
