18/03/2026 – Amb. Eunice Luambia, in her capacity as President of the 23rd Meeting of States Parties of the Ottawa Convention, met with Amb. Tobias Privelli, Director of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
The two Ambassadors had a fruitful discussion which focused on strengthening the longstanding partnership between the States Parties and the GICHD. The meeting also discussed innovative funding sources to support the implementation of the Convention. The GICHD signed an agreement with States Parties in 2011 to provide technical and administrative support to the Implementation Support Unit of the Convention.
