The Zambia High Commission in Pretoria, through its Education Department, led by First Secretary (Education) Dr. Francis Chishala, undertook a four-day official visit to the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University .
The visit, organized in collaboration with Empiras Global, focused on strengthening academic cooperation, enhancing support for Zambian students studying in South Africa, and exploring scholarship and study-abroad opportunities.
During the engagements, Dr. Chishala held high-level meetings with senior university officials, including Professor Richard Stevens, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching at Stellenbosch University, and Professor Dannie Visser, Director of the International Academic Programmes Office at UCT.
Discussions centered on academic support mechanisms, student welfare, and opportunities to deepen institutional collaboration.

Dr. Chishala also met with undergraduate and postgraduate Zambian students at both universities, where he encouraged them to remain focused on their studies and to continue serving as ambassadors of Zambia.
