Welcome To The Zambian Mission in Brasilia, Brazil

Dear visitors,

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Zambia and my colleagues at the Zambia Mission here in Brasilia, I would like to wish you our heartfelt welcome to our Zambian online space. It is our hope that while you are here, you may experience the best of Zambia’s warm hospitality and enjoy the great offering of our rich and diverse culture and history.

It is an honour and privilege to represent Zambia and to serve its great people at this memorable moment when Zambia is witnessing a ‘New Dawn’. 

Working this mandate for Zambia gives me pride and together with the wonderful team at the Zambia Mission here in Brasilia, we hope to achieve more. There are difficulties and challenges that come with this duty but just like the Zambian eagle that soars the sky far and wide with tenacity, we are determined that our presence in this critical part of the world will be a voice for the people and government of Zambia.

Zambia and Brazil established diplomatic relations in 1970 and over the 54 years of friendship, the two nations have signed several cooperation agreements in the areas of politics and technology, agriculture, education, health, security, sports and energy.

Under the New Dawn, the Republic of Zambia is strengthening its collaboration with Brazil to utilize the Public-Private Partnerships model to implement infrastructure projects and improve agriculture.

As a mission we look forward to continued collaboration and cooperation with the Federative Republic of Brazil and other countries we are accredited to in South America, so that together we can build better economic and political cooperation for our nations. These include Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Suriname, Venezuela, and St. Kitts and Nevis.

We are aware that more and more Zambians are coming to South America and the Zambia Mission in Brasilia is very key and critical in providing Consular services. In this regard, we are constantly improving the quality of our Consular services in order to provide the best services to Zambians and foreigners.
