ZAMBIA’S HIGH COMMISSIONER TO GUYANA MEETS ZAMBIANS BASED IN GUYANA
The two Zambians namely, Dr. Elijah Muvwimi and Dr. Thomas Daka expressed happiness for meeting the High Commissioner in Georgetown, Guyana.
They said it was a rare privilege to meet a fellow Zambian and government official in Guyana and that they valued the moment.
The two hoped that Zambia can open a Consulate in Guyana because as a fasted growing economy in the world, the South American Country is a country on the rise with many opportunities for Zambia especially in the human resource sector.
High Commissioner Michelo told Dr Muvwimi and Dr Daka that as members of Zambia’s 11th province, which is the diaspora community, play an important role in the economic development Zambia.
Mr. Michelo assured them that, Zambia does not see them as a loss to the country but as an assert and encouraged them to increasingly get engaged with their country of origin.
Guyana is the only English-speaking country in South America and is also part of the Caribbean community.
