
UKUSEFYA PANGWENA CEREMONY
Ukusefya Pangwena is the celebration of the Historic journey that Aba Bemba took from Kola and the founding of their kingdom some 600 years ago and settling down in Mungwi at a place called Ng’wena near Milando River, Kola encompassed present day Angola and parts the DRC
They were led by 3 Brothers Chiti, Nkole ,Katongo and Chimba they crossed the Luapula at a place called Kashengeneke.
A royal omen at Milando River (a Dead Crocodile) compelled Ababemba to settle right here at the site of the ceremony.
The settlement was named Ng’wena Village and became the first capital of Ulubemba, the Bemba-Ngoni cousinship was born here. So, Ukusefya pa Ng’wena is the ceremonial commemoration of Bemba history and culture at Ng’wena Village.
