ZAMBIA STRENGTHENS TIES WITH THE UAE: DUBAI INVESTOR MISSION EXPLORES UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITIES 

In a landmark initiative, the Zambia Mission in Dubai successfully facilitated its first-ever Dubai Investor Mission to Zambia in December 2024. This historic delegation, comprising 22 high-profile investors, marked a significant step in strengthening economic ties between Zambia and the UAE, underscoring Zambia’s commitment to attracting strategic investment from the region. 

The investors, drawn from diverse sectors, engaged in high-level discussions with senior government officials, regulatory bodies, and the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA). These meetings provided a firsthand look at Zambia’s investor-friendly environment, showcasing opportunities in mining, agriculture, tourism, energy, and technology – sectors poised for transformative growth. 

Beyond boardroom engagements, the delegation had the privilege of attending the Sekute Traditional Ceremony, immersing themselves in Zambia’s rich cultural heritage. This experience underscored Zambia’s unique blend of tradition and modernity, offering investors not just financial prospects but a deeper connection to the country’s vibrant identity. 

The driving force behind this initiative was Professor Nkombo Muuka, Consul General at the Zambian Consulate in Dubai. His relentless efforts in fostering economic diplomacy ensured that the mission was not just a ceremonial visit but a catalyst for tangible partnerships. He continues to spearhead follow-ups and facilitate progress on the commitments and pledges made, reinforcing Zambia’s readiness to translate interest into actionable investments. 

The success of this mission signals a new chapter in Zambia-UAE relations, setting the stage for long-term collaborations that will contribute to Zambia’s economic transformation. As investors reflect on their experiences and explore avenues to engage further, Zambia stands ready—open for business and primed for global partnerships.
