Dubai, UAE — October 29, 2025
Zambia’s Minister of Tourism, Hon. Rodney Malindi Sikumba, MP, held a high-level meeting with the leadership of Impero Group at their global headquarters in Dubai, following his participation in the UAE–Africa Tourism Summit.
The meeting underscored Zambia’s growing appeal as a premier destination for both tourism and foreign direct investment. Impero Group, which already maintains a presence in Zambia’s mining sector, is now seeking to expand its footprint through strategic, broad-based partnerships across multiple industries.
During the engagement, Hon. Sikumba emphasised the importance of fostering collaborations between international investors and Zambian private sector partners, ensuring that investment flows translate into inclusive and sustainable growth.
Impero Group’s CEO and Managing Partner, Captain Mohamed Ramadan (Rtd), expressed his company’s strong commitment to Zambia, outlining plans to bring 20 Alliance Partners to support his vision of positioning Zambia as a “Dubai-like African regional hub for intentional and purposeful FDI.”
Hon. Sikumba commended the Impero Group’s continued confidence in Zambia’s investment climate and reaffirmed the Government’s support for credible investors seeking to participate in the country’s transformative growth agenda.
Following the meeting, Hon. Sikumba met with staff at the Zambian Consulate in Dubai to extend appreciation for their support during his mission and to highlight the vital role of Zambia’s foreign service in facilitating such strategic partnerships. The Minister has since travelled safely to Egypt to continue his official engagements.
