Zambia Beckons: Mission Brings UAE Investors Face to Face with Zambia’s Opportunities

June 2026  ·  Dubai, UAE

Senior Zambian voices present investment opportunities to UAE-based investors at the “Zambia Beckons” dialogue in Dubai.

Building on its live engagement earlier, the Consulate General of the Republic of Zambia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates — together with the Embassy of Zambia in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Africa Networking Group, and Zakh Investment Group — convened “Zambia Beckons,” a focused investment dialogue bringing UAE-based investors and funds face to face with some of Zambia’s most compelling opportunities.

The event placed real projects and senior Zambian voices in the same room as the investors best placed to act on them — a deliberate expression of the Mission’s commitment to active, results-driven economic diplomacy. Three presentations anchored the session.

H.E. Prof. Nkombo Muuka

AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA TO THE UAE

The Ambassador opened the dialogue by reflecting on Zambia’s progress over the past five years under the leadership of the President — highlighting the gains already secured, the country’s vast untapped potential, and the promising road ahead for investors who move early.

Dr Stephen Chanda

PRINCIPAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP OFFICE

Dr Chanda presented on the goals and ambitions of the PPP Office, setting out how Zambia is opening itself up to partnerships with foreign investors across key economic ventures — and the structures in place to make those partnerships work.

Ms Mary Mumba

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, ZAMBIA CREDIT GUARANTEE SCHEME

Ms Mumba spoke to a project proposal high on the Scheme’s agenda — an opportunity she presented as especially exciting for investor consideration, underscoring the financial mechanisms available to de-risk and support investment into Zambia.

“The message from the room was clear: Zambia is open, ready, and worth a closer look.”

Held against the backdrop of the UAE Africa Networking Group’s tenth-anniversary celebration of impact, and beneath banners inviting the room to “Invest in the Energy of Zambia,” the gathering reflected a maturing relationship between Zambia and the UAE — one increasingly defined by concrete commercial opportunity.
