The Protocol and Consular team at the Consulate General of Zambia in Dubai has been hard at work, safeguarding the welfare of our fellow Zambians in the UAE.
Over the past year, the team has continued visiting Zambians who have been arrested or detained, offering them the much-needed support of their country. From July 2024 to now, seven Zambians have been successfully deported back home with our assistance, while many others have received help in navigating different consular challenges.
But our work goes beyond emergency support. One of the Consulate’s most important roles is providing everyday consular services such as:
- Helping with passport renewals and travel documents
- Certifying and authenticating official papers
- Offering guidance on UAE immigration and residency requirements
- Assisting in times of emergency – from illness and accidents to bereavement
We also advise Zambians on how to navigate life in the UAE – from understanding the local laws to adjusting to cultural expectations – so that they can focus on living, working, and thriving with confidence.
At the heart of it all, our mission is simple: to stand in service of Zambians, wherever they may be.
